…means a great excuse to get some cooking time in. I had high hopes of spending my MLK holiday cooking up a storm in the kitchen. However, thanks to the Inauguration much of my day was spent busying myself in front of the TV. Oops!
I did find a couple of minutes to get some dinners started and frozen for the upcoming weeks. And even had some time to do some baking! Yay!
I love baking and experimenting with new desserts. On tap for my day off was peanut butter Oreo brownies. To me this concoction sounds like perfection.
Have you ever eaten an Oreo with peanut butter? I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend peanut butter brownies. So how could this newly invited creation go wrong?
They were super easy to make, although that may have been due to the fact that I have the best helpers in the kitchen. Don’t you agree?
With my fingers crossed I took my first bite and I was thrilled to report it was delicious!!!!! This will definitely become a new dessert staple in the W household. I have shared the recipe here.
Did you have Monday off? How did you spend it?

Like you, I spent a lot of yesterday watching the inauguration.
I love the photo of the peanut butter Oreo with “hungry” puggles staring up at it. Too cute!
Yum!! Looks delish! I’ll have to make it for the peas
I was just talking with JD about how chocolate and peanut butter is my favorite combo! These look delish! I did have Monday off and spent most of it just like you watching the Inauguration..I was glued!
